In 2007, Hariri Foundation partnered with the World Bank and the Council for Development & Reconstruction to carry out a joint project aimed at increasing the production of olive oil and improving its quality in South Lebanon. The project featured a capacity building component offered to olive farmers and workers in the olive oil sector.
The project also featured the supply and installation of new olive oil equipment and industrial machinery, providing 12 new jobs in the olive oil sector.
