In partnership with Development & Dialogue Workshop, and in collaboration with members of the School Network of Saida & Neighboring Towns, Hariri Foundation launched the ‘Archbishop Saleem Ghazal Award for National Dialogue and Peace’ in 2011 to commemorate the memorial of Salim Gazal through disseminating his values of interreligious dialogue, peace, and national unity. The training featured annual competitions on different forms of art, including painting, poetry, as well as the writing of articles and short stories.
Every year, a new theme was developed to reflect dialogue and peace in Lebanon and around the world. Up until 2019, the competition engaged yearly over 300 students from 30 public, private and UNRWA schools.
