In partnership with the Islamic Development Bank, Hariri Foundation carried out a mass training to build the capacities of civil society organizations as well as partnering private companies, academic institutions and municipalities to apply international development frameworks and goals in their developmental and organizational plans. Hariri Foundation trained participants to effectively lead team members and empower them towards achieving personal and organizational goals, equipping them with skills to plan for and write winning proposals and to set a media strategy in line with local issues.
Participants were also familiarized with the principles, opportunities, and challenges of community development. Throughout the project, a training manual was developed for municipal and local civil society organizations around local development within the framework of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
