In 2004, Hariri Foundation partnered with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to develop a group-based leaning approach for farmers to adopt better agricultural practices in the grapes and olives sector. The project featured a capacity building component delivered to tens of farmers in South Lebanon on Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
The project also featured the establishment of 3 farmer field schools, creating 12 new job opportunities and increasing the production of grapes by 12.00% and the production of olives by 10.00% across South Lebanon.
