Old Saida Guidebook

In 2008, the Hariri Foundation partnered with the World Bank and the Council for Development & Reconstruction to publish a touristic guidebook for the use of tourists and citizens of Saida. The guidebook aimed at unleashing the economic potentials of Saida’s historic district through portraying its long-standing cultural heritage, showcasing and highlighting local historic and cultural attractions and introducing must-visit sites for national and international visitors. Local community members were engaged in the process, offered training and capacity building to be advocates of the guidebook and partners in local cultural and religious tourism.
