In 1996, Hariri Foundation organized the Popular Folklore Festival in Saida, entailing folklore, heritage, and artistic activities performed by music bands and dancing teams and clubs from all across South Lebanon. The festival engaged students from public and private schools in South Lebanon, supervised by specialists who had attended several training sessions on the subject matter.

Attracting huge participation, the festival, aimed at developing the talents of children, deepening their familiarity with local and foreign cultures, and giving them a chance to enjoy their time in a constructive manner.
