In 2006, Hariri Foundation partnered with the World Bank and the Lebanese Council for Development & Reconstruction to carry out a joint project aimed at the Social and Legal Empowerment of Women in Lebanon. Throughout the project, Hariri Foundation built the capacities of professionals including lawyers, students, journalists and media personnel on monitoring the portrayal of women in media. Project partners published a set of comprehensive guides outlining the Lebanese woman’s social and legal status and roles across different sectors and venues.
