In partnership with CISCO Systems International and the Lebanese Ministry of Education & Higher Education, and under the “Partnership for Lebanon” initiative launched by CISCO, Intel, Ghaffari Group, and Occidental Petroleum, Hariri Foundation provided IT Essential tools and courses to students of public high schools across Lebanon. The project’s ultimate aim was to counter school dropouts and eliminate IT illiteracy. 16 public high schools were equipped with computer labs and connected to the internet.
A group of 22 instructors were trained and certified to deliver IT essential courses, featuring hardware and software components. Throughout the course of the project, hundreds of students received professional certificates from CISCO upon the completion of the training courses.
