Hariri Foundation launched the Children’s Summers Center as a local hub for seasonal extracurricular activity. However, the center stopped a short time after its launch due to the emergence of war and it was re-launched with greater momentum in 1995 as the Extracurricular Activities Center. The center extended its summer activities to 26 social centers across Saida and neighboring towns and hosted over 2,000 children from all age groups and several public and private schools every year.
Children participants were supervised by 200 trainers and specialists who focused on promoting the children’s physical and social abilities through their engagement in social and cultural activities.
