Establishing School Gardens

Year

2005 – 2007

Address

Saida

In 2005, Hariri Foundation partnered with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to establish school gardens and build the awareness of school students in Saida on urban agriculture. The project featured a curricular component, integrating a practical framework of teaching on agricultural knowledge and practices into the educational curriculum delivered at the School Network of Saida & Neighboring Towns.

By the end of the project, 5 gardens were established across local schools, as a model to mainstream school gardening among other schools in the future.
