Promoting Active Citizenship Program

Since 2007, Hariri Foundation’s “Promoting Active Citizenship Program” aims to establish networks among civil society organizations and to strengthen its collaboration with local authorities, donors, and the private sector. Networks are established at both the national and local levels to promote active citizenship among organizations’ constituents and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and capacities among civil society and other sectors of relevance on developmental frameworks and methodologies. The program also aims to support civil society in organizational development, strengthening internal capabilities and aligning their social and economic development and crisis response efforts with international frameworks and goals. Through the program, Hariri Foundation supports the work of civil society organizations by securing the resources required to undergo local, innovative socio-economic projects that promote development and social cohesion.
