In 2005, Hariri Foundation partnered with the European Commission, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Saida & South Lebanon, the Lebanese Ministry of Economy & Trade, the Municipality of Saida and the Groupe Méditerranée to establish the Business Incubator Center of Saida & South Lebanon. The center aims to enable economic opportunities through the creation of jobs and the generation of wealth through assisting manufacturing entrepreneurs in enhancing their chances of success during start-up and enterprise growth phases.
The center transmits Business Development Services to the BIC tenants as well as to the remaining members of the clusters within the region, sparking competitiveness through cluster building and new employment opportunities. To this day, the center seeks to close gaps in the market value chain, improving product quality, providing innovation through vigorous product design centers, and applying principles of lean world class manufacturing.
