Hariri Foundation advocated and supported the national campaign “Bikaffi Khof”, which was inaugurated by the PM and the Government following the Abra clashes of 2013. The campaign aimed at breaking the barrier of fear and building hope among locals of Saida through the rapid restoration of normal life and work in the affected region. The foundation mobilized over 200 volunteers and young civil society activists, who helped remove damage and clean the homes, shops and streets affected.
Urgent financial assistance was provided to affected families for partial compensation. Rental allowances were offered to families whose homes were no longer habitable until they were restored, and potable and use water were secured for those still residing.
